Superlegalization and recognition

For most Czech recognition and visa routes, Ghanaian public documents must be authenticated. The process normally includes notarisation, Judicial Service attestation, Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalisation and final superlegalization by the Czech Embassy in Accra.

• Two recognition routes: A university may assess your education only for its own admission process, or you can obtain general recognition (nostrification) for wider use in the Czech Republic.
• University of Pardubice: Offers an internal admission assessment, but its Ghana-specific instructions generally still require superlegalized documents. Documents already issued in English do not need translation for this assessment.
• Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE): Normally assesses previous education internally through its admission application. Its current internal route may accept foreign school certificates without apostille or superlegalization; general nostrification may be requested if the university has doubts.
• Masaryk University: Offers faculty-level admission verification, but Ghanaian diplomas generally require superlegalization. Rules, fees and supporting documents vary by faculty.
• Visa documents: This university translation exception does not automatically apply to immigration paperwork. Czech visa documents may still require an official Czech translation, including the authentication stamps.
